Evidence and Provenance· Lesson 1 of 4+15 XP on completion

What counts as evidence

Evidence is any material that supports a claim in a Capsule: documents, datasets, official statements, photographs, or links to primary sources. Each piece is anchored with a hash so it cannot be swapped later.

Evidence does not have to be public to be verifiable. A hash can prove a document existed at a point in time without revealing its contents.

KEY POINT

A hash proves a source existed at a time without exposing its contents.
